A Sustainable Design and Public Art Competition at Evergreen Brick Works
Call for Proposals deadline extended to
Midnight, May 5th, 2013
Design by Nature is an annual competition that promotes sustainable design and public art in unique city spaces. This year the event will again be hosted by Evergreen Brick Works, a 120 year old former brick factory that has been transformed into a community environmental centre.
We are currently seeking creative ideas for public art or functional furniture through a creative re-imagination of salvaged materials.
The items are designed for designated locations on the Evergreen Brick Works campus. Pieces appropriate for both interior and exterior application are encouraged. All proposed designs must contain at least 50 percent reclaimed materials. The emphasis this year is on functional furniture.
